You’re excited to share the haul you have stashed away in your suitcase, only to find that when it’s all gone not one retailer in the UK stocks those delicious chocolate treats, let alone has ever heard of them!

In 2015 Paul Lever did just that, and being a bit of a chocoholic - he decided he was going to do something about it.

Paul’s love of chocolate started from a very early age. He has always been fascinated with not only the taste and exploring exciting flavours from around the world, but everything involved in the making, and studying of chocolate from bean to bar; partaking in many courses to understand each stage of the chocolate making process. 

Born and bred in Brighton, Paul had a yearning to build a business that could bring something different to chocolate lovers in the area, and eventually the rest of the UK!

We all remember Woolworth’s Pick & Mix where there was literally every sweet and chocolate you could ever want, available to buy every day.  Paul’s mission was to offer UK shoppers a luxury version of this – an online chocolate shop with a great selection, where you could buy your favourite flavours in any quantity.

He set out to source and import some of his favourite chocolates from around the world. In 2015, The Chocolate Emporium Pick and Mix was launched from a small base in Brighton, which grew over the years to what it is today.  Paul, Brighton’s very own Willy Wonka, and his happy team of pickers and packers, (not known as Oompa Loompa’s), create bags and bags of delicious personalised luxury chocolates from the Pick and Mix range, delivering them to happy customers from all over the UK every day!
